Mobile devices are now a target to more than 1.5 million new incidents of mobile malware, so it is vitally important that you take steps to keep them safe.
Avoid using your birthday, anniversary, or PIN as your passcode.
Remember what we said earlier about never using the same passcode/password for more than one application.
Just like with your anti-virus and firewall software, make sure you keep your device updated.
There are vulnerabilities in older, unpatched operating systems that are easier to hack. You can also regularly back up your device to the cloud to keep your files safe. A
void using text or email to send any sensitive or personal information (PII). No reputable vendor should ask for such info by email or text as they are known to be unsecure.
